Equine Media Products

Every media batch is provided with a Certificate of Analysis with a high level of Quality Control (QC) release parameters.

The most important is the Bovine Embryo Assay BEA Test. There are huge differences in reproductive physiology between the mouse and cow, therefore a MEA test is not sufficient QC for a bovine medium.

As a customer you get a detailed Manual of Procedure and access to online support. Furthermore, there will be online training courses and individual troubleshooting sessions.

There is a detailed ICSI protocol available, including preparation of Semen, the ICSI procedure, culture conditions and vitrification.

IMPORTANT:
IVM, Holding Medium and the IVC Medium must be supplemented with 5 % Serum.

Oocyte Holding must be supplemented with 10 % -20 % Serum. The media also contain a synthetic serum replacement.

We recommend Fetal Bovine Serum from Sigma-Aldrich F2442. Note it is already sterile filtered, so no need to filter again. 5% serum corresponds to 1 ml to the 20 ml bottles
